FlexAFM Video Camera

AFM-top-view-chip-air.jpg

Top view in air

Top view of the AFM cantilever above a memory chip. The high-resolution color top view of the FlexAFM Video Camera plus the integrated motorized manual focus facilitate recognition of the various chip structures and provide crisp images that assist with the exact positioning of the sample with respect to the AFM tip.

AFM-side-view-chip-air.jpg

Side view in air

Side view of the image above. The high-contrast monochrome side-view of the FlexAFM Vide Camera allows clear view of the AFM cantilever and any type of sample surface, thereby facilitating the initial manual cantilever to sample approach. All nanosurf AFMs feature an automated final approach, for a worry-free start to AFM imaging.

AFM-top-view-cells-liquid.jpg

Top view in liquid

Top view of Rat-2 cells in a physiological buffer. The use of the Cantilever Holder Liquid/Air with SureAlign™ technology allows immediate measurements in liquid without the need for any laser adjustment. Since all components of the FlexAFM's top and side view optics are located inside the Cantilever Holder, the material of the sample-holding liquid container doesn't even have to be transparent! The Rat-2 cells in the top view image shown here could be nicely discerned and allowed swift positioning of the AFM cantilever above the cells of interest and immediate AFM imaging.

AFM-side-view-cells-liquid.jpg

Side view in liquid

Side view of the image above. As in the side view in air, the ability to view both cantilever and sample from the side allows for a quick and simple approach process when using the FlexAFM.
