SPMonSPM 2018 is a unique conference covering the full range of scanning probe microscopy on soft matter, polymeric materials, as well as biological systems.

The objective of the conference is to offer an international forum to share research with worldwide leading scientists active in the field of scanning probe microscopy on soft and polymeric (bio)materials, as well as with industrial colleagues.

In addition to providing a format for discussion and information exchange following the highest international scientific standards, the conference gives young researchers the floor to present and discuss their results in a stimulating international environment.

To reach these objectives, a short course, invited lectures and a company exhibit are part of the conference program.

The technical program of SPMonSPM 2018 will include symposia with plenary lectures, invited and contributed talks and dedicated poster sessions on a broad range of topics including:

• nano-mechanical properties of soft materials
• force measurements at surface/interface
• high speed and high resolution SPM
• mechanical manipulation of single molecules
• live cell imaging and cyto-mechanics by SPM
• novel SPM designs and new measurement methods
• combined multimodal SPM
• scanning tunneling microscopy and molecular imaging

Previous editions were organized in Kerkrade (2012), Toronto (2014) and Changchun (2016).
