Nanosurf Easyscan 2 AFM & STM

Thank you for your trust in the Nanosurf Easyscan 2 AFM and STM instrument line! The Easyscan 2 series looks back on a long and successful history:

  • First Nanosurf Easyscan STM in 1997
  • Easyscan AFM introduced in 2000
  • ES2 line 2005
  • Discontinued in 2014

We still provide limited support for Easyscan 2-based systems and occasionally release software updates.

From Easyscan to CoreAFM

Nanosurf kept constantly improving its AFM technology. In 2012, the NaioAFM and NaioSTM systems were launched as all-in-one systems to replace the Easyscan 2 series. Following the concept of very compact AFM systems, the CoreAFM was introduced in 2017. The CoreAFM is an allround AFM for measurements in air and liquid environments featuring a flexure-based scanner and an integrated active vibration isolation.

High-end AFM

Our thrive for constant improvement of our AFM technology culminated in the release of the DriveAFM in December 2020. The DriveAFM with its new CX controller is an all new class of AFM which is fully motorized, provides exceptionally low noise performance, high resolution and features CleanDrive photothermal excitation of the cantilever. CleanDrive brings working in dynamic mode to a new level of ease of use. Especially in liquid environments, the CleanDrive provides an exceptionally stable and clean cantilever excitation. In combination with its ability to be mounted on inverted optical microscopes, the DriveAFM offers a multitude of possibilities for high-end research in any field of application.
