Photoinduced Step-Growth Polymerization of N‑Ethylcarbazole

Nanosurf customers from the Chemical Engineering department of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Chemistry Department of Istanbul Technical University published results on polymer thin films in the renowned Journal of the American chemical society (JACS). Carbazole based polymers, like poly(N-ethylcarbazole) (PEC), are essential components in optoelectronic applications such as organic light emitting diodes, photovoltaic, and electrochromic devices as hole transport materials. Thin film morphology of the polymer is of great importance to meet the physical properties demanded for such applications. To this end the NaioAFM was used to investigate the surface morphology of PEC films prepared by spin-casting before and after a dedoping process.
